Pandimaniacs

Why "Pandimaniacs"?

The title is a mixture of "pandemonium", "pandimensional" and "maniacs", sprinkle with chopped parsley and add seasoning. Serve hot.

Why are you doing this?

Fun, rocking the noosphere, the lot.

What font is that in the title?

Home-made! We call it "Pandimanic"!

Are the characters based on real-life people?

No. Except for maybe Bob.

Are Ed and Brad named after someone specific?

Yes. The main actors from Fight Club.

What about the other characters?

Squar'la is named after Marla from Fight Club.
Jeugaavi is named after Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
Marie is named after Maria from West Side Story.
Bob is named after this one guy from Twin Peaks.
Squerbert is named after H.G.Wells.
Fauntleroy is named after Donald Duck.

How come the drawing style changes so drastically?

The way we see it (or rather, the way the artist sees it), Pandimaniacs is our playground to try out new techniques. Instead of sticking to a earlier (inferiour) design all the time we'd rather develop a good one. It's a luxury most professional artists can't afford, so we're taking advantage of it as much as we can.

How come the quality changes so much?

It depends on the mood the artist is in, and the time he has.

Why bilingual?

To reach a wider audience.

Why SVG?

Vell, Zaphod's just zis guy, you know?

Why TXT?

Because we can!

Why orange?

Orange rules!

Why blue?

Blue helps orange rule. Kind of like a king's advisor.

Why the constant change in coloring?

We experiment a lot. See above.

Have you planned an ending yet?

No.

How do you come up with the story?

Brain-storm. Or bike.

How do you create the strips?

The writer writes and then sends the script to the artist. Sketching and inking are done on Adobe Illustrator 10 using a 6x8 Intuos3 from Wacom.

How long does it take to make a strip?

Including writing, usually something between 3 and 6 hours.
